Michael Vick Signs with the Philadelphia Eagles
When Michael Vick was released from custody recently there has been a lot of talk about where the former superstar quarterback might sign when NFL commissioner Roger Goodell decides to reinstate him.
The first and most logical choice seemed to be with the New England Patriots who are arguably the best franchise in the NFL right now and also have the reputation for rehabilitating troubled players like Corey Dillon and Randy Moss who both flourished in Bill Belichick’s system.
Although the Patriots seemed like a no brainer, there interest in Vick seemed to disappeared quite quickly and Vick was forced to look to other teams like the Cincinnati Bengals, Oakland Raiders and the Green Bay Packers who both were considering taking a chance on the former Atlanta Falcons face of the franchise.
In a move that came completely out of left field, Michael Vick signed with the Philadelphia Eagles for two years. Not only are the Philadelphia fans the toughest fans to win over in the NFL and other professional sports, but they also already have a superstar quarterback in Donovan McNabb who was criticized quite a bit last season for their poor start to the season and lack of effort.
Regardless of the criticism of McNabb last season, the veteran quarterback bounced back with a vengeance as they play their way all the way to the NFC Championship game after looking like they were going to miss the playoffs altogether.
Now with the addition Vick the Eagles look to have an extremely dynamic offense as they have said they will use Vick in a number of different positions including some snaps at QB. With Vick joining the Philly the Eagles have drastically improved their chances of winning the very competitive NFC East and chances sports betting for their chances to be NFC champs this season. Not only will they definitely improve their chances of winning the Super Bowl when NFL betting, but they will almost certainly change some bet on sports this season.
